If you are feeling constant aches and pains, digestive problems or a feeling of fatigue, you might need to detoxify your body. Detoxification means cleansing our body by flushing out the harmful substances that accumulated inside us. Even if our bodies possess a natural capability to flush them out to prevent them from causing damage, too much toxins could be harder to handle for our organs which do the job, specifically the liver and the kidneys.
Living in an environment where toxins proliferate everywhere, it is not surprising that they find their way into our body through our food and water and even from the air. They are usually from aluminium cans, paints, copper wires, pesticides and cigarette smoke. Even our amalgam dental feelings contain toxins that go directly to our body. We also get them from food additives or from cookwares and cleaning products.
Detoxification has been acknowledged as good for health and is practiced in Ayurvedic and Chinese healing techniques. The harmful substances could wreck havoc in our body systems and destroy healthy cells. So, when we think about spring cleaning our homes and surroundings, we must also include in the clean up of our internal bodily systems.
One of the important questions is when is the recommended period to detoxify? How do we go about the process or what could be the best cleansing program which is best suited for our particular needs or situations?
Most people believe that it is necessary to go through the process of cleansing at least once a year. There are a number of natural methods to go about the detoxification process. You could go for a basic cleanse or a major one. Water is still the ultimate cleansing ingredient. Drinking the required eight glasses a day promotes proper hydration of the body which could not only make a skin glow with health but also aid our internal organs such as kidney and liver to properly function.
Another suggestion for cleansing is through drinking tea. Of all the available kinds of tea, green tea is best because of its multiple benefits. It is not only an anti-oxidant that fights off the free radicals that threaten to destroy your good cells. It has also a host of other properties including being an anti-allergen, antiviral and antibacterial.
Many on the other hand subscribe to the nutritional method of detoxification. A lot of common herbs, fruits and vegetables are actually good at detoxifying your system. Lemon, along with other citrus fruits tops the list. They efficiently eliminate the unwanted toxins in your system. Garlic has also been lauded for its many benefits. Green vegetables, some nuts and seeds could also do the trick. Just by including them in your daily diet already aids your body as it eradicates the toxins.
If you are interested in other techniques, there are still a number of detoxification methods you could look into. There are even holistic programs that offer the combination of breathing techniques, exercise, aromatherapy and healthy diet. Other cleansing methods involve saunas or steam baths. Other ways of eliminating toxins could be through foot detox, fasting, oxygen therapy and even parasitic cleansing. Others would promote organic food to promote continuous cleansing as well as minimize the accumulation of unwanted substances.
Over all, the general goal of going through the detoxification process is to flush out the harmful substances that found their way inside our bodies and threaten to damage our cells. If we do not move to control them, it could lead to various illnesses which could range from simple aches and pains to health menace diseases that could be fatal. Detoxification will not just promote the better functioning of our digestive system or provide us clearer complexion and boost our focus and concentration. Cleansing could help us avoid illnesses and propel us towards our goal of optimum health.

To gain an understanding of chakra balance you must first learn the general concept of chakras. Chakras are the energy centers of our bodies, they play an important role in allowing the bodies aura to breathe the ebbing flow in and out through the energy openings of our body.
One of their many beneficial tasks is the vitalization of the physical body as well as the healthy development of the self-conscious, they relate to our emotional, mental and physical relationships and activity.
What does a chakra look like, you might wonder. Most often they are likened to the appearance of a lotus flower, since they are have the appearance of a being funnel in their shape, with smaller funnels within the larger funnel.
Each individual has seven chakra centers, which associate with their own specific corresponding color. Here you will learn each chakras physical location within the body, as well as the beneficial gifts of chakra balance, the means of enhancing your life and well being by relieving a good deal of stress and anxiety that we as humans experience on a daily basis.
The seven chakras are the root, sacral, solar plexus, heart and throat chakras as well as the brow or third eye chakra and the crown chakra. They line up in the center of your body, beginning at the base of your spine and follow up to the top of your head.
To achieve chakra balance, you should eat specific foods that encourage the grounding and revitalization of energy to your chakras. You may find this list of foods helpful for balancing your chakras.
Root Chakra: Beans, beets, carrots, eggs, garlic, meat, parsnips, potatoes, radishes and tofu products.
The sacral chakra benefits by eating such foods as mangos, almonds, melons, cinnamon and honey as well as many other foods.
Solar Plexus Chakra: Cereals, cheese, flax seed, ginger, milk, mints as well as many other foods. These types of food increase your self esteem.
Heart chakra and foods that will help heal emotional hurts try eating spinach, kale, broccoli, green teas, basil, sage and thyme.
Next is your throat chakra and to help to speak truth try eating lemons, limes, kiwi, salt , lemon grass, apples, pears, and plums.
The brow chakra and to help awaken third eye senses try blueberries, red grapes, black berries, lavender, poppy seed.
Finally to aid in opening, cleansing and balancing the crown chakra, you will find such incense as frankincense, copal, sage, juniper and myrrh, as they are beneficial in enhancing spiritual communications.
This of course, is a partial list of the foods, spices and drinks that are beneficial to the chakra centers, however, to gain a proper chakra balance, you must learn to focus on your own chakra centers.
Gemstones also play an important role in chakra balance, while laying a gemstone upon each chakra point. Each chakra can reach the well being of balance by leaving a gemstone on the area for at least three to five minutes, depending of course on the level of balance you feel each chakra requires. To do this, you will begin with the root chakra and work your way up the body.
You may choose to use any type of gemstone, however, you should be aware that some individuals recommend particular gemstones for each chakra center, although the choice of gemstone may vary from one individual to another. You can easily test the theory by alternating gemstones until you find your perfect match. You may notice a humming once you have your gemstones in place on your chakras, or perhaps a feel good feeling when utilizing the best gemstones. If you experience any negative feelings, or the gemstone just does not feel right, remove it and do not use it for chakra work at all.
After experimenting with various gemstones, you will find the perfect gemstone that feels good to you. Once you find the best gemstone for your use, you should make a list of the gemstone you use as well as the chakra you use it on. For instance, some individuals may use a lapis lazuli for the throat chakra, however if it is not comfortable for you, it is not the best gemstone to use on your chakras. You should never feel as though you have done something wrong when a recommended gemstone does not feel right for you.
You can achieve chakra balance all at once, by placing your gemstones on each chakra center at the same time, leaving them in place for anywhere between three to twenty-five minutes, depending upon how much balance you feel your chakra requires.
Lots of people have discovered that the easiest and quickest way to achieve a complete chakra balance is by using the latest binaural beat audio technology which reproduces the sound frequency of each chakra and resonates your own chakras to the frequency needed for total balance.
By listening on headphones, your own chakras instantly start to resonate at the correct frequency!
